Pro-D Matcha Latte Smoothie

Do you Matcha?

Matcha is made from the powdered leaf of ๐˜ค๐˜ข๐˜ฎ๐˜ฆ๐˜ญ๐˜ญ๐˜ช๐˜ข ๐˜ด๐˜ช๐˜ฏ๐˜ฆ๐˜ฏ๐˜ด๐˜ช๐˜ด, which is the same plant that all black, green and white teas come fromโ˜•๐Ÿต

As you drink the whole leaf, instead of just the leaf infusion, it does have a few extra nutrients compared with regular tea or green tea๐ŸŒŸ

It has some vitamin A, in the form of the alpha-carotene, and has decent amounts of vitamin C, iron, potassium and B1. It’s got huge amounts of vitamin K (about 232mcg per cup), something to be aware of if you take blood thinning medication.

Matcha does have caffeine, less than in coffee, but more than in a regular green tea, but you also get the calming effects of the amino acid theanine, so it should give you a nice lift but without the jitters.

For this recipe we wanted to jazz up our daily Pro-d dose by turning it into an invigorating and healthy smoothie.

Ingredients Per Person

1 Banana

1 Scoop Pro-d Lime Flavoured Joint Health powder

1 Heaped tsp of matcha

1.5 Cups of milk or plant milk (we used hemp milk to elevate the nutrition)

Blend until smooth and drink immediately.

Go about your day feeling good about having done something good for yourself!
